Veteran designer on the vanguard of industry standards
An architectural designer and consultant specializing in luxury homes, additions, kitchens and bathrooms, outdoor entertaining spaces and commercial suites, Adam Gibson is known for designs characterized by an infusion of natural light, clean lines, warmth and efficient use of space. Gibson has earned Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer status, and is also a Certified Living-in-Place Professional and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist.
After an apprenticeship with a local craftsman in the Northeast, he formed a home improvement company in the early 1980s. After a five-year detour as a full-time musician, he settled in Nashville, TN, where he founded a design/build firm in 1995. Since 2003, he has been based in Indianapolis as a designer and consultant working with clients across the country, with his studio located inside the Indiana Design Center in Carmel, IN.
Gibson is also a professional photographer and serves as a subject- matter expert on architectural photography, healthy homes, lighting plans and more. He has collaborated to create new industry standards for Kitchen and Bath Guidelines for the National Kitchen and Bath Association. He has served as president of the NKBA Indiana chapter; the National chapter leadership committee, NKBA; Past National Board of Directors, NKBA; past president, NAHB Remodelers Council, Middle Tennessee chapter; advisory board, Indiana Design Center, and board member, National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Indiana.
