Mid-century modern design elements, effective utilization of space and creative applications for sliding barn doors were among the hottest trends evident in the 2016 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence winning designs.
The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best remodeling and design work in 15 general categories of residential and commercial remodeling. The Chrysalis Awards are open to all professional remodelers and design professionals in the U.S.
This year, 83 remodeling and design companies were honored as winners of the 2016 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence in a variety of categories (pictures of all of the 2016 award-winning projects can be found on the Chrysalis website www.chrysalisawards.com).
The winning projects were selected from over 400 entries judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.
The competition included six kitchen and bath categories. This month, KBDN spotlights the National Winners of each of these categories.
