Drew McGukin likes to be known for designs that incorporate a touch of the unexpected, combined with beautiful textures and bold patterns that combine sophistication, warmth, innovation, style and approachability. The self-proclaimed pattern-addict says, “I’ve never been a wallflower. Neither are my interiors.”
His style has been described as “forthright and high-impact, characterized by strong and graphic patterns while avoiding eyeball-straining shades that can be visually overwhelming.”
Having graduated from the New York School of Interior Design in May 2010, McGukin is the lead designer in his own New York-based firm, Drew McGukin Interiors, established in October 2010.
The International Furnishings & Design Association named him a Rising Star, and he has served on various designer advisory councils including the ASID Board of Directors and the New York Design Center’s Access to Design Referral Network. He has also engaged as a creative consultant for renowned industry giants including Cosentino, Delta Faucet and Monogram.
His portfolio has a significant online following on digital design platforms like 1stdibs and Houzz. In 2018 McGukin launched his first capsule furnishings collection with Crate & Barrel.
