GREENGUARD is practically giving it away!

It, in this case, is an Apple iPad and it did in fact just give one away to designer Nathan Bush at NeoCon this year.  After running a promotion in which GREENGUARD invited social mediaphiles to Tweet about NeoCon (dubbing it the NeoConTWEST–hardy har har).

“Nathan Bush, 22, a recent graduate of the University of Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture, was the first contestant to photograph the showrooms of over 75 manufacturers of GREENGUARD Certified products and share those photographs on the popular microblogging site Twitter.”

DPHA Unveils ‘Greening the Bath’

The Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association has released the 18th volume in it Education Program series with ‘Greening the Bath,’ a manual devoted to providing a definition for green in the bath as well as tackling myriad subjects related to the topic:

  • Explaining how different products sold in a showroom contribute to a green bath
  • Describing how to tell compelling stories to encourage consumers to green their baths
  • Identify certification and rating systems and how they operate

Brazil Likes Eliane

Eliane has an environmental record it is proud of; according to the company, it was the first ceramic tile producer to achieve the ISO 14001 standard, and now the company’s EcoStone has been awarded the Fritz Muller award in its home country, Brazil.

Neat Product Alert: CHENG Concrete branches out

CHENG Concrete announced this week that the company will offer a line of concrete countertop products through four Home Depots in the Phoenix, AZ area.  This is the first time the company is offering any of its products in a brick-and-mortar location.

The products offered include Fu-Tung Cheng’s  Concrete Countertops Made Simple, countertop mixes in four colors, sealers, waxes and a finishing kit.  The company also held hands-on clinics in conjunction with the products launch for the public’s benefit at stores in Phoenix, Chandler and Tempe, which were well attended.  Read the complete release after the jump.

United Nations’ World Environment Day
