PALO ALTO, CA — Students in residential construction and design-related academic programs are being offered a free, one-year subscription to Houzz Pro, a program that provides business management and marketing software for interior design and remodeling professionals.
Houzz Inc., the Palo Alto, CA-based online platform for home remodeling and design, last month launched “Houzz Pro for Students,” a program that enables students to use online tools for creating estimates and proposals, building websites, visualizing projects, collaborating with clients, and more, the company said.
“For many years, Houzz has supported the next generation of home renovation and design professionals through the Houzz Scholarship Program,” said Liza Hausman, v.p./industry marketing at Houzz. “We’re excited to now offer Houzz Pro for Students to further these efforts by giving students tools to help them build their skills and resumes, and to launch their careers.”
Houzz said it is also working with academic institutions, like The Interior Design Institute, to integrate Houzz Pro business and project management tools into their curricula.
