A larger shower, updated tub and more storage were the key objectives for updating this small master bath, designed by Sara Lee, AKBD of Salisbury, NC. The client’s preference for a transitional to modern style prompted the use of clean-lined, classic elements and finishes.
Textured Apollo White porcelain tiles on the floor and walls coordinated well with the natural white Carrera marble countertop, providing the clean look desired.
In the shower, a contrasting band of glazed ceramic Silver Mini Hexagon tile from Emser Tile runs through a wall niche with removable glass shelves, making a dramatic statement. The Delta Vero shower system in chrome adds shine.
Eliminating the old apron-front tub allowed the shower to be enlarged by almost three feet, with room remaining for the 59″ Leith acrylic freestanding oval tub and Sebastian tub faucet in chrome, both from Signature Hardware.
Contrasting all of the white elements in the room is the Talia Wired Gloss Foil in Wired Mercury on Frameless Cabinetry from Dura Supreme. The sleek floating run of cabinets is suspended from the wall and features a center section of wide drawers and Loox LED lighting from Hafele below. His-and-her Porcelain Trench sinks from Chemcore are paired with Pegasus’ Exhibit chrome faucetry, and provide additional functionality. A Kohler Wellworth toilet completes the space.
