When it comes to taking care of clients, Peggy McGowen’s philosophy is “We have two objectives for every project we undertake: Design stunning spaces and delight our clients.” But the founder of Kitchen & Bath Concepts in Houston, TX has accomplished so much more than simply delivering the best designs possible to her customers; she has been instrumental in pushing the industry forward, using her leadership skills and sharing her knowledge to better the kitchen and bath industry.
McGowen, CMKBD, RID, CAPS, has served as a past president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association and past president of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, and has specialized in consultation and design of new and remodeled kitchens and baths since 1986. She is a frequent speaker at local and national home shows and conferences, and has judged design competitions for the NKBA, NARI, Sub-Zero and others. She has also served on advisory councils for manufacturers such as Dacor, KitchenAid, Sub-Zero and Wood-Mode.
Dubbed “The Kitchen Queen” by clients and peers alike, McGowen has won a number of design awards, and has been featured in numerous local and national publications and media outlets such as HGTV. Her work has appeared in magazines such as Interior Design, House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens, Houston House & Home, Women’s Day Kitchens & Baths and Kitchen & Bath Design News.
