Hardware, Plumbing Firm Opens Raleigh Showroom

Raleigh, NC — Bird Decorative Hardware & Bath has expanded into the Raleigh, NC market, opening the company’s sixth decorative hardware and plumbing showroom, corporate officials announced.

Bird, which is headquartered in Charleston, SC, first expanded into Bluffton, SC in 1997, and then into North Carolina, opening showrooms in Charlotte in 2000, Wilmington in 2003, and Asheville in 2005.

“The consistent growth in the Raleigh area prompted the initial thought for expansion. This, coupled with strong industry contacts in Raleigh, made the decision very easy. Raleigh was the next place for Bird,” said company president Sam Marano.
Claire Ciardella, Elizabeth Laughridge, Rick Jacobs and Shane Braswell comprise the Raleigh team, according to Bird, the largest independently owned decorative hardware and plumbing company in the Carolinas.
