MIA Pushes Legal, PR Campaign to Refute Granite Safety Claims

Cleveland, OH — The Marble Institute of America is continuing with its aggressive, several-month-long campaign to protect the granite industry from what association officials have been charging are “unfounded attacks” regarding alleged health risks related to the use of granite countertops in homes.

Jim Hogan, president of the Cleveland, OH-based MIA, last month reported “more significant progress” in the association’s multi-faceted campaign to refute claims that granite emits potentially unhealthy levels of radon.

Hogan has been communicating to the natural stone and kitchen/bath industries through a steady stream of e-mails and press releases.
