AWFS Fair Makes Move to Las Vegas
A new era begins this month for the Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers with the relocation of its AWFS Fair to convention hub Las Vegas. The fair, which originated in 1957, has been held biennially since that time in Anaheim, CA. The move to the Las Vegas Convention Center was made to give the show room to grow, and the relocation has enabled the fair to exceed expectations in terms of number of exhibitors, exhibitor space and anticipated attendees.

The event, now called AWFS Vegas, is scheduled to take place this year from July 27 through July 30. Event organizers expected to sell out the fair's space in the convention center, a total of 430,000 sq. ft. hosting some 900 exhibitors.
In addition to the exhibitors' floor, AWFS Vegas also encompasses the New Products Showcase and the First-Time Exhibitors Showcase. The New Products Showcase features new-to-market equipment and supplies and is organized by product type: large machinery, small machinery, power tools, hardware, components, upholstery, tooling and software. The First-Time Exhibitors Showcase features products from companies that have not previously exhibited at the fair. Both showcases will be located at the main registration area and will include write-ups of each new product/new exhibitor.

Here, Kitchen & Bath Design News highlights just a small sampling of the many products that will be displayed by exhibitors at the 2005 AWFS Vegas.
