Montreal — Richelieu, a leading distributor, importer and manufacturer of specialty hardware and related products, has acquired Top Supplies, a High Point, NC distributor of decorative and functional hardware, the company announced.

Top Supplies’ customer base consists primarily of furniture manufacturers and commercial woodworkers, according to Guy Grenier, v.p./sales and marketing at Richelieu, who said that the acquisition enables the Montreal-based company “to penetrate a new market with the complete Richelieu product line closer to geographic areas currently served.”

Richelieu offers more than 55,000 products through distribution centers in North America, including 16 in the U.S. and 30 in Canada.
