Sioux Falls, SD — A golf tournament sponsored by StarMark Cabinetry has netted more than $200,000 for the Sioux Falls Family YMCA Middle School After School program, StarMark announced.
David Mobley, the 2004 REMAX World Long Drive Champion, and LPGA pro Kris Tschetter were joined by PGA pro Rich Beem, golf reporter/analyst John Maginnes and ESPN sports commentator Charlie Rymer at the 5th Annual YMCA Golf Classic.
The event included a dinner, auction, golf tournament, lessons and a long drive exhibition by Mobley.
Mobley, whose longest recorded drive is 503 yards, wowed the crowd by hitting a golf ball through a cabinet, and then repeated the shot, sending the second ball through the hole created by the first drive.
StarMark, headquartered in Sioux Falls, has committed to being the presenting sponsor of the YMCA Golf Classic for 2008 through 2012.
The After School Program provides a safe, fun haven for young people during the two hours after school.
