Schankenberg of Chicago Brass has been re-elected president of the Forte Buying Group, the Bethesda, MD-based buying group catering to the premium and luxury market of decorative plumbing and hardware. Others elected to serve on the 2009-10 Forte Board of Directors include first v.p. Ted Swenson (Dakota Wholesale, Inc., Sioux Falls, SD), v.p. Jeff Burton (The Bath & Beyond, San Francisco, CA), secretary David Yowell (Hollywood Builders Hardware, Houston, TX), treasurer Douglas Hermance (Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware, Houston, TX), and immediate past president Ken Goren (Hardware Designs, Fairfield, NJ).
Forte represents 100 shareholders operating more than 300 decorative showrooms throughout North America, according to the organization.
