Training Programs Expanded for 2004 By
Woodharbor
Mason City, IA Woodharbor Doors & Cabinetry has set the
schedule for the eighth year of its “Woodharbor University,” and
has expanded its training initiatives for 2004, the company
announced.
The manufacturer of custom and semi-custom kitchen/bath
cabinetry, headquartered here, announced a product-training program
for February, June and September of 2004.
“Woodharbor University” is conducted at the company’s Mason
City, IA manufacturing facility three times annually, and has been
expanded from the original two-day sessions in 1997 to the current
three-day format, focusing primarily on Woodharbor cabinetry
products, the company said. More than 100 dealers from Woodharbor’s
nationwide dealer network attended training at the factory during
2003, the company noted.
Woodharbor also conducts regular one-day regional training
programs with a focus on cabinetry, as well as a one-day format to
emphasize interior doors. About 300 dealers attended regional
training sessions at various locations in 2003, the company
said.
Woodharbor marketing director, Karen Wistrom, ASID, heads the
cabinetry catalog and product training segment, which also includes
a tour of the company’s manufacturing facility, and a multi-step
“designer” finish demonstration. The course also incorporates an
introduction to Woodharbor interior door products, led by
Woodharbor national sales manager Kevin Lewerke.
In addition to “Woodharbor University” and the continuing
regional programs, Woodharbor announced it also plans to add a
two-day training session at the factory in 2004, dedicated to the
company’s “Rockglen” product line.
