Cabinet Sales Post Gains, as 2021 Opens With Sharp Increase

RESTON, VA — Major domestic kitchen cabinet manufacturers posted significant early-year sales gains in 2021, according to the latest in monthly series of Trend of Business Surveys conducted by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s.

The KCMA’s latest survey results, released last week, reflected an increase in overall sales among participating cabinet manufacturers of 10.4% for January 2021, compared to the same month in 2020. Custom sales were up 7.8% over those of January 2020, while semi-custom sales rose 17.7%, and stock sales increased 6.1%, the KCMA reported.

Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 75% of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market, according to the Reston, VA-based trade association.
