RESTON, VA — A new awards program, launched by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association, is aimed at recognizing outstanding kitchen design while promoting public interest in cabinet excellence.
The Reston, VA-based KCMA this week launched its first-ever annual competition, targeted at focusing attention on the “quality of the cabinet environment” within kitchens, while highlighting the “important role” that kitchen designers, interior designers, and architects play in the U.S.
The best kitchen design, as determined by a panel of judges, will receive roundtrip coach airfare to the KCMA’s 68th Annual Spring Leadership Conference April 23-25 in Austin, TX, according to the trade association. Also to be awarded are a two-night stay at the Omni Barton Creek Resort, $1,000 in cash, and other prizes, the KCMA said.
Kitchen designs completed during the calendar years 2021 through 2023 are eligible, while projects must feature KCMA-member cabinets. The deadline for entries is March 15. Additional information is available by visiting www.kcma.org.
