ARCHDALE, NC— Häfele America Co., the Archdale, NC supplier of cabinet hardware, LED lighting and related products has announced a major expansion and upgrade of its warehouse facilities here.
Häfele said that its $13-million investment will add 94,200 sq. ft. of high-rise distribution center space to a facility that will be 221,200 sq. ft. upon completion, an increase of overall storage capacity by 60%. In addition to the increased storage capacity, the company said it will be adding automated conveyor lines and product-pick systems aimed at improving responsiveness, efficiency and order accuracy, Häfele said.
Construction on the project is expected to be completed by this fall, corporate officials added.

Smith, president of Häfele America Co. “Through this project we’ll be able to serve all of our customers in a multitude of better, more efficient ways – as well as reducing the company’s carbon footprint by adding solar power to our campus.”
