The Place for Kitchens and Baths, Boca Raton, FL

The family taking on this kitchen remodel in Boca Raton, FL, had two main requests: they wanted a white contemporary kitchen that would house all of their culinary tools, and they wanted to bring the concept of a pool into the space.

Already starting off with an open floor plan that suited the family well, Barbara Geller of The Place for Kitchens and Baths in Boca Raton was able to work within the existing space and use many of the clients’ appliances, which helped keep within the tight budget set for the project.

White contemporary cabinets from Elmwood with a Mission door style were customized for the space, with depths increased to 13″ in order to store dishware securely. Siro hardware in bright chrome from the Mosaic Collection adds a little texture, like sunlight on water. Cambria Whitney quartz countertops add a sense of depth.

Along the perimeter walls of the kitchen are a Bosch dishwasher, GE Café Series electric cooktop with GE oven, Zephyr hood, Samsung refrigerator and undercounter wine cooler.

The outdoor pool area concept was incorporated into the space by painting the walls a soft shade of blue, and by adding a blue tile to the backsplash that mimicked waves.

The multifunctional island acts as a dining area, entertainment space and work station, and features a built-in microwave. A white chandelier that represents branches was placed over the island to continue the feeling of the outdoors.
