NORTH OLMSTED, OH — Moen, the North Olmsted, OH-based plumbing products supplier, has broken ground on a 680,314-sq.-ft. Las Vegas distribution center aimed at serving the western U.S., the company said.
According to Moen, the facility, which will open in 2024, will allow the company to stock more inventory on the West Coast, while reducing transportation costs and lead times. While Moen has robust recycling programs in place at all its facilities, the new distribution center will include additional features to increase sustainability on site, the company noted.
“We’re excited to be working to create a facility that will have a positive impact on our business, our customers and the surrounding areas,” said Ron Wilson, Moen executive v.p. and chief supply chain officer. “Not only will the construction of the facility help bring jobs to the area, but by investing in automation and a larger building, we will also have the potential to nearly double the number of Moen jobs available in Las Vegas by 2030.”
