While many designers still use paper design boards with picture cut-outs, Nina Green, owner/principal interior designer, NGD Interiors in Churchville, PA, walks clients through their space in a virtual-reality immersive experience, where the client’s selected materials are incorporated into every piece.
As one of the winners in the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s inaugural 30 under 30 class, Green’s topic was the showroom of the future, using VR for a virtual showroom. Green started her business with $0 and an iPad, but with every upgrade focused on how to create a better client experience. Now she regularly handles projects in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and she believes clients purchase more quickly because of that experience.
She has developed the effective use of customer-focused solutions such as 3D photo-realistic renderings, virtual reality client presentations and digital marketing to accelerate sales, and digital customer-purchasing processes that make it faster and easier to buy, all enabling her success. She is forward-looking in her use and integration of new technology and digital solutions, elevating the expectations of customers, and helping her peers and her competition get better at what they offer. As v.p. of professional development for her local NKBA chapter, Green has shared her knowledge and trained others in the use of technology to enhance the client experience.
