Pirch Brings Flagship Showroom to NYC
New York, NY — A former ironworks building in New York City’s famed SoHo district has received an iconic makeover, thanks to its newest tenant – Pirch. Sitting squarely on the corner of Lafayette and Broome streets, the flagship Manhattan showroom mixes original elements of the historic building with state-of-the-art products and industrial-chic concepts for a truly distinctive experience.
The highly styled kitchen, bath and outdoor appliance showroom of home retailer Pirch encompasses 32,000 square feet on three floors. The interior design is in keeping with the design and scale of New York City apartments.
The showroom held its grand opening on Saturday, May 21, with a preview party on May 19 attended by celebrities and invited guests. Thousands of people passed through the doors of the showroom during the events, getting a first look at products from industry leaders such as Sub-Zero, Samsung, Gessi, apaiser, Rohl and Lynx Grills.
THE SHOWROOM EXPERIENCE
The showroom is designed to offer a one-of-a-kind experiential environment, where guests are invited to try before they buy. Visitors can test drive all of the merchandise, which, in addition to product groupings, is displayed in more than 30 interactive vignettes with live cooktops, ovens, refrigerators and grills, as well as showers, sinks and baths.
“At Pirch we believe in bringing joy, romance and fun back into shopping,” said Jim Stuart, Pirch chairman and co-founder. “We encourage our guests to touch, feel and try our state-of-the-art offerings – the very investment pieces that, in the end, will shape memories in their homes.”
For example, guests can test up to 40 showerheads in the bath area, and even book a private steam shower in Sanctuary, the experiential home spa at Pirch.
Two live demonstration kitchens – Savor and Patio – host on-staff chefs who continually demonstrate the abilities of a range of appliances throughout each day. Complimentary cooking classes allow guests to get hands-on experience with appliances of their choosing, such as those from Wolf, Miele, Thermador, Kalamazoo Outdoor, La Cornue and Viking.
The Connected Loft is a live vignette that showcases cutting-edge technology from Innit, which features the interactive setting of a loft apartment. Innit connects Jenn-Air appliances to each other and to sites with recipes and online shopping for a gourmet chef experience like no other, the company notes.
Bertazzoni has chosen Pirch as the exclusive showcase for Azzurro, its latest color (a vibrant teal) – on display on a 48″ Dual Fuel range.
Cosentino has also partnered with Pirch to be the exclusive surfacing provider for the showroom. The space showcases an array of Dekton ultra-compact surfaces, Silestone natural quartz and Cosentino’s natural stone products in a range of applications.
The SoHo showroom, as well as the eight other Pirch locations in the U.S., are staffed with Lifestyle Advisors, Personal Wellness Directors and a full-time culinary team. The staff helps guests discover and become passionate about products that will suit their lifestyles.
“As the premiere retailer bringing the world’s most admired brands to life, our flagship showroom is designed as a place for guests to ignite inspiration and fuel discovery,” said Jeffery Sears, Pirch CEO and co-founder.
