Sophisticated Motion Sense
From: Gessi North America
The new line of Sensor Taps from Gessi pairs beauty and function in symbiotic balance, notes the firm, with the faucets featuring advanced technology to create the hands-free function. Designs in the line include Inciso by David Rockwell, Rilievo by HBA (shown), Rettangolo and the Gessi 316, all offered inn array of finishes, from metallics and mattes to exotic textures and patterns. The faucet’s system uses a highly sensitive infrared sensor and is designed to promote good hygiene, improve efficiency and reduce water consumption. Water flow is activated as hands approach the tap or sensor plate within an adjustable detection distance, completely eliminating the need to touch a faucet lever. The flow automatically shuts off within two seconds of the hands’ retreat. The motion sensor can be connected to an electrical network or powered by battery. The sensors are located in the tap plate, faucet base, or a separate control in coordinating style and finish depending on the model.
