Robert Schwartz, principal, St. Charles New York, has devoted his life to the custom kitchen and bath industry, traversing through transitional, contemporary and traditional design motifs and working with renowned architects and interior designers.
He designed and implemented diversified commercial projects ranging from
commercial test kitchens, firehouses, hospitals, government buildings and philanthropic foundations before he changed his focus to the highly customized residential design arena, energized by the utilization of architectural metals, glass, eclectic artisan veneers and exotic stonework.
Schwartz joined St. Charles Kitchens as director of commercial operations and multi-housing and, in his first year, broke every sales record in the company’s 50-year history. In the years that followed, he generated over 40 pre-eminent projects for the ultra-luxury condominium and co-op markets.
Schwartz studied marketing at Baruch Business College and has instructed kitchen master classes at the New York School of Interior Design. During his career, he has been a national design winner in the Sub-Zero/Wolf Kitchen Design Contest, and served as a judge for the competition.
