In this Edwardian-style San Francisco row home owned by a young family, the goal for designer Marie Daskalas and principal and creative director Nicole Hollis of San Francisco-based NICOLEHOLLIS, was to create a space that felt “modern but not ‘minimalistic.’” Although small, the home contained a good amount of natural light and high ceilings, which influenced the NICOLEHOLLIS team’s color palette choice. Daskalas and Hollis took on both a master bathroom and the children’s bathroom. While still maintaining a modern vibe, the design team made sure that the home was also functional for young children. The children’s bathroom is a show in contrast, particularly between black and white. Red fixtures from Fantini’s I Balocchi line add a pop of color and youthful touch to the room. The design team continued the black and white theme in the master bathroom, however, the black matte Fantini Lissoni collection adds a subtle sophistication to the space.
