SEATTLE, WA — Bathroom remodels are the most popular project for homeowners to tackle,…
Interest in bath remodels is on the rise, particularly the master bath, with tubs waning, glass shower enclosures gaining and new lighting options in high demand. That’s according to a recent HOUZZ survey, which polled more than 7,600 consumers across the U.S and Canada who use HOUZZ and who are either currently planning, or in the midst of, a bathroom remodel.
While consumer budgets are projected to increase somewhat for kitchens and baths next year, the emphasis is definitely on function over fashion, with baby boomers expected to be the key growth segment in kitchen and bath remodeling in the coming year.
Even the average Stanford MBA student probably knows the carpentry saying that goes: “Measure twice, cut once.†It’s a way that journeymen in the trades try to ensure that the apprentices don’t rush the work – and that they avoid mistakes that can’t be corrected.
If you apply the same idea – care and extra attention when you measure existing conditions for your kitchen and bath remodeling work – it will pay off for you.
