NEW YORK — Nemo Tile + Stone, the New York-based supplier of surface materials for architects, designers and other specifiers, has acquired tile distributor and stone fabricator Tile Market of Delaware, the company announced.
The acquisition, aimed at broadening Nemo’s footprint on the East Coast, follows the November 2021 acquisition of Modern Stone Consulting, according to Nemo. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Founded in 1996, the Wilmington, DE-based Tile Market of Delaware operates out of a 73,000-sq.-ft. warehouse that supports the region’s retail, builder, designer and contractor markets, in addition to serving as a 10,000-sq.-ft. design showcase and delivery center for domestic and international tile, according to Nemo.
“The union of these businesses creates a strong alliance that will be the basis for growing our national footprint while maximizing the effectiveness of our supply chains, the range of our product offerings, and the depth of our vertical and horizontal surface applications,” said Matthew Karlin, CEO of Nemo Tile + Stone.
