ARCHDALE, NC — Häfele America Co. recently celebrated 50 years as a leading supplier of furniture fittings and architectural hardware by hosting a series of customer and employee events. This anniversary coincides with Häfele’s 100-year celebration in Germany.
“The history of Häfele America and the impact this company has made on the industry over the course of 50 years – as well as with vendor partners and our employees – is something we’re especially proud of,” said President & CEO Paul Smith. “This event allowed us the chance to revisit much of our past and I can promise you that our next 50 years will be even more exciting.”
On Thursday September 28, customers were hosted at a vendor trade show, with Loox LED lighting presentations, kitchen design seminars and a broad range of activities, all followed by a celebratory gala.
On Friday, September 29, Häfele’s Archdale, NC headquarters hosted customers, vendors and sales team members for lunch as well as campus tours. Speeches were made by Smith, as well as chairperson of the Häfele Worldwide board of directors and company shareholder Sibylle Thierer and company shareholder Ellen Wolf. Later that day, an inaugural charity golf tournament benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of America was held, where the company matched all donations, raising a significant sum for a very worthy cause.
Additionally, events for Häfele employees were held at the company’s distribution centers in Mechanicsburg, PA; Fort Worth, TX, and Torrance, CA on Friday, September 29 featuring catered luncheons and prizes. A family day event was held on Saturday, September 30, complete with campus tours, performers – a magician, balloon artist and caricature artist – as well as many prizes and giveaways for the company’s Archdale, NC-based employees and their families.
